Sorry guys. I blink and it has been a few weeks since my last update. Good thing is all is good with us. We have just been busy with normal summer stuff and slowly getting things around the house ready for Mallory's arrival this fall. I did go to the doctor this past week, and all was good with her. She is getting very very strong at this point, kicking my all throughout the day. I keep telling Nolen that I feel like she is stronger than Chloe was, but who knows. All that matter is she is growing like she should, which she is. Here are baby bump pictures from this week. On the left is 24 weeks with Mallory, and on the right is 24 or 25 weeks with Chloe (it wasn't labeled correctly.)
As for what we have been up to, just staying busy. This first week of this month I volunteered with our church's VBS/VBX. It was a blast. I spent the whole week outside with the older group helping run rec time, and had so much fun. Felt like a kid playing games with them all week. Chloe enjoyed her "vbs" as well. She would come home with crafts that she had done and pictures each day.
That Friday Nolen and I celebrated our 5th anniversary. Hard to believe that it has already been 5 years, where we have been and where our life is headed at this point. Just makes us both feel increadibly blessed to look back over these past five years and see what all God has blessed us with. Here is a picture of us after dinner down on the lakefront.
One of those blessings we have recently seen is a great babysitter. I know, it's the small things in life sometimes, but Chloe loves our neighbor, Gabby, and doesn't care when mom and dad leave so long as Gabby is around to play. So we have taken advantage of that twice this month! Once on our anniversary just for dinner, then again this past Friday we went and saw Phil, Kay, and Si Robertson from Duck Dynasty speak in Hammond. We went with a few couples from our Sunday school class and Jacob and Amanda and really enjoyed ourselves. It was a good mixture of them just talking and answering questions and Phil preaching.
Other than that, we have just been busy playing and getting things taken care of around the house. Chloe's big girl room is officially painted and there is a bed in there. Now mom is just busy sewing and getting it all put together so she can move into it. She loves going in there and playing on her new bed, so hopefully when the time comes the transition will be easy, but I'm not 100% ready for that yet.
We did go swimming one day last week at the neighbors house for a little while. I was interested to see how Chloe would do since she hadn't been in a big pool since last summer, but she took right back to it. I'm sure it helped that her new favorite person Gabby, and her sister Haley were in the pool with us.
Here are just some other pictures of Chloe from the past few weeks. One of her new favorite things to do is ride on Nolen's back around the house. It took her a few times to realize she needed to hold on or else she would fall off pretty quick, but she has the hang of it now and loves it.
Bath time is still probably Chloe's favorite time of the day. Each evening when we ask her if she is ready for a bath she still goes running in there, asks for the bubbles and starts taking off her clothes. So we have learned to not say the word bath unless it is really time to take one.
Chloe is getting more and more independent each and every day. She loves to play and read by herself and do anything she can on her own. Here she is reading and carrying her own basket around Academy.

And finally a picture of Chloe from last weekend when she was a bit under the weather. While she may go and go all the time, she can still be the best person to cuddle with when the mood strikes her.
